I just want to say I absolutely love how your hair came in, even the gray looks amazing on you. I am 55 yrs. old and was diagnosed 8/18/2021 with breast cancer. My husband shaved my head after the first round of chemo and I couldn’t believe how WHITE my hair was. My hair is starting to come in and like you I’m going to embrace the white hair, no more coloring it. Thanks for sharing your photos and your journey/experience.
Hello Holly! I really do love my hair and honestly, I’m just really thankful to have hair. I’m so glad to hear that you are braving the new world of white and gray hair. I think you will love it too. I get SO MANY compliments on my hair. Young people, older people, men, women, so many people comment about it. And I am also so thankful your hair is returning!! My prayers are with you for complete health and healing!
I just wanted to thank you for sharing your your journey with us. Most especially your hair journey. I was diagnosed with breast cancer 13 months ago, have completed all my treatments and am happy to say cancer free! Thank you God. I never anticipated the hair regrowth phase to be so difficult for me but it certainly has had its ups and downs. Like you I chose to embrace my natural color, that was the easiest adjustment much to my surprise. The curls have been another story! Oddly that’s when I didn’t feel like me anymore. There were many prayers asking for help embracing the “new me”and some tears. Then I found your story online (love how God works) and it has helped me immensely! Reminding me that this is all part of the growth in this journey and that I’m still me. I’ve learned to embrace the curls and how to manage my new hairstyles as it grows. Your bravery, honesty and strength in sharing your story was a God send for me. ❤️
Samantha, thank you so much for your words. You don’t know how much they help me. I’m working now on truly treasuring my post-40 and post-cancer self; being thankful for my newness, while also giving honor to my previous chapters of life that got me here. I don’t want to worship youth anymore or fight to keep it. I really want to figure out how to trust the wisdom that I have gained from my years of life and trust in God’s goodness for me now. It’s truly a gift that we’ve been given to morph from princess to queen. My prayers are with you!
PS I’ve also been using supplements and vitamins from this site. The Mei product for hair growth and collagen are wonderful! Lots of testimonies about how they have helped. https://livepure.com/shop/collagen This link should take you to it. If you would like more info, I would love to speak with you. It’s my new side hustle! It’s also helped me remember my love for helping people find answers!
